Energy Crystals in R.E.P.O.: Uses & Acquisition

Author : Aria Mar 12,2025

Conquering a level in the co-op game R.E.P.O. is a significant achievement. Victory leads you to the Service Station, where you can purchase essential upgrades and weapons, including Energy Crystals. Let's explore their function and how to acquire more.

What Are Energy Crystals in R.E.P.O.?

These shiny yellow crystals, found at the Service Station after completing the first level, cost between $7,000 and $9,000. Early in the game, when the difficulty is lower, they're usually cheaper, offering a chance to stock up if you've had a successful run.

Purchasing an Energy Crystal adds an Energy Container to your R.E.P.O. truck. This container is invaluable, allowing you to recharge tools like the Valuables or Extraction Tracker. Simply place them in the container (indicated by a yellow lightning bolt next to it) to begin recharging. This saves money on replacements and keeps your team equipped for the next Clown, Gnome, or Shadow Child encounter.

Crystals automatically appear in the container upon purchase. Each crystal recharges roughly four battery sections of an item; six crystals fully charge the container. However, crystals have a limited lifespan and eventually break, requiring replacement.

How To Get More Energy Crystals in R.E.P.O.

Energy Crystals are only available at the Service Station and can be expensive. To afford them, diligently collect valuables throughout each level. Sufficient funds are necessary to reach the Service Station after completing a level.

During challenging levels, prioritizing survival and securing enough cash to clear the level might be wiser than risking losing valuable loot.

This covers the function of Energy Crystals in R.E.P.O. and how to obtain them.
