The story follows Kyoya, who awakens in a dimly lit room in the year 4000 – nearly two millennia from his last memory. He finds himself in a desolate world, guided by a mysterious girl burdened by a heavy task. This girl is trapped in a cycle of repeated death and rebirth, endlessly atoning for humanity's past transgressions. Her plight compels Kyoya to share the concept of happiness with her.
