A Decade in the Making:
The game's development began in 2015, following Dragon Age: Inquisition. However, internal shifts in focus toward other projects like Mass Effect: Andromeda and Anthem, along with a change in the company's strategic direction away from the initial design, resulted in significant delays and a complete development halt. The project, initially codenamed "Joplin," was later revived in 2018 under the codename "Morrison," eventually being announced as Dragon Age: Dreadwolf before settling on its current title.
Despite the challenges, Dragon Age: The Veilguard is finally nearing launch for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S this fall. Get ready to return to Thedas!
