Destiny 2 Reveals Horror Themed Armor Sets for Festival of the Lost 2025

Destiny 2's Festival of the Lost 2025: A Horror-Themed Vote and Community Concerns

Destiny 2 players will soon have a spooky choice to make: vote for new Festival of the Lost armor sets inspired by iconic horror figures! Bungie's upcoming Halloween event pits "Slashers" against "Spectres," offering distinct armor designs for each class.

This year's event features a thrilling showdown between two factions: Slashers, with Titan and Hunter armor inspired by Jason Voorhees (Friday the 13th) and Ghostface (Scream) respectively, and Warlocks sporting a menacing Scarecrow set; and Spectres, where Titans embody the Babadook, Hunters transform into La Llorona, and Warlocks finally get an official Slenderman armor set. Players will cast their votes to determine which set becomes available in October.

However, the excitement surrounding these new armor designs is overshadowed by growing unrest within the Destiny 2 community. Many players express frustration over persistent bugs and a noticeable decline in player engagement throughout Episode Revenant. Issues such as broken tonics and other gameplay glitches, while largely addressed by Bungie, have contributed to a sense of disillusionment among a segment of the player base. The announcement of the Festival of the Lost armor, ten months in advance, further fueled this discontent, with some players feeling the studio should prioritize addressing current in-game problems before focusing on a future event. The upcoming availability of the previously unreleased Wizard armor from the 2024 Festival of the Lost during Episode Heresy is also noted.
