Borderlands 4 Release Date Confirmed

Gearbox Software has officially revealed the release date for Borderlands 4. During the recent State of Play presentation, Gearbox president Randy Pitchford announced the game's launch on September 23, 2025. To mark the occasion, a new trailer showcasing exciting gameplay features was unveiled.
A standout feature highlighted in the trailer is the addition of a grappling hook, promising new traversal options. However, fans can rest assured that the series' signature blend of over-the-top weaponry, explosive action, and chaotic mayhem remains a core element.Further celebrating the announcement, Gearbox confirmed a dedicated Borderlands 4 State of Play showcase will premiere this spring. This special presentation will delve deeper into the gameplay and, of course, showcase a plethora of new weaponry.
While story details remain scarce, the lead writer previously hinted at a potential shift away from the previous game's reliance on "toilet humor." Whether Borderlands 4 will adopt a more mature tone remains to be seen.
