Black Ops 6 Welcomes a New Zombies Map
No Amalgams in Sight
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is adding its fifth new Zombies map. A tantalizing glimpse was offered via the official Call of Duty (X) Twitter and Treyarch's X account on March 12, 2025. The image showcases a grand mansion, its walls scarred by damage, surrounded by the wreckage of burning military vehicles and ominous black smoke billowing from within.
The post's caption, "Personal log. Edward Richtoften recording…" along with the #Zombies hashtag, hints at the involvement of the familiar character, Edward "Eddie" Richtoften, a key figure in Call of Duty: Cold War. Given Black Ops 6 is a remake of Cold War, Eddie's return is perfectly in line with the game's narrative.
Keen-eyed fans have identified the location as the Mansion from Liberty Falls, set in February 1991, as indicated on the teaser image. This timeline seamlessly connects to The Tomb, the previous Black Ops 6 Zombies map, promising a thrilling continuation of the story.
A significant change confirmed by Treyarch on their Instagram is the absence of Amalgam enemies. Responding to a fan's comment about anticipating hordes of Amalgams, the developers simply stated, "Nope." This news will undoubtedly be welcomed by players, as Amalgams, with their high health pools and powerful attacks, are notoriously challenging foes. Their removal promises a potentially smoother gameplay experience on this new map.
