Bandai Namco Partners with Rebel Wolves for Upcoming Dark Fantasy RPG, Dawnwalker

Bandai Namco Entertainment, the publisher behind Elden Ring, has announced a global publishing agreement with Rebel Wolves for their debut action RPG, Dawnwalker. This exciting partnership unites the experienced publisher with a Polish studio founded by key figures from the Witcher 3 development team. Dawnwalker, slated for release in 2025 on PC, PS5, and Xbox, promises a mature, story-driven experience.

The game, set in a dark fantasy medieval Europe, is described as a AAA title with a focus on narrative depth. Further details are expected in the coming months, fueling anticipation among RPG fans.

Rebel Wolves, established in 2022, aims to elevate the RPG genre with its story-driven approach. Tomasz Tinc, Rebel Wolves' chief publishing officer, expressed excitement about the partnership, highlighting Bandai Namco's shared values and experience in publishing narrative-focused RPGs. Bandai Namco's VP of business development, Alberto Gonzalez Lorca, sees Dawnwalker as a significant addition to their portfolio and a key step in their Western market strategy.

Leading the creative direction is Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz, a CD Projekt Red veteran and lead quest designer on The Witcher 3. Co-founder and narrative director Jakub Szamalek, also a CDPR alum, confirms Dawnwalker as a new IP with a scope comparable to The Witcher 3's Blood and Wine expansion, promising a non-linear narrative and replayability. Tomaszkiewicz emphasizes the game's focus on player choice and experimentation.
