Avowed has been compared to Skyrim, but its gameplay is more akin to Obsidian's The Outer Worlds—a single-player experience. Many players wonder if Avowed offers multiplayer capabilities. The answer is a definitive no.

Avowed does not feature any form of multiplayer, be it co-op or PvP. While you'll encounter companions, they are non-player characters (NPCs), mirroring the structure of The Outer Worlds. Enemy encounters are also solely controlled by AI; there's no player invasion mechanic. Obsidian Entertainment initially considered co-op, but ultimately removed it during development, citing a desire to focus on other aspects of the game.

Will a Co-op Mod Emerge?

Currently, no publicly known Avowed co-op mod exists for PC. While the possibility remains, creating such a mod is a significant undertaking.
