Atomfall Unveils Gameplay Ahead of Imminent Launch

Atomfall: New Gameplay Trailer Unveils Post-Apocalyptic England

Rebellion Developments, renowned for the Sniper Elite series, ventures into new territory with Atomfall, a first-person survival game set in a 1960s alternate England devastated by nuclear war. Initially revealed during Xbox's Summer Game Fest showcase, Atomfall has generated significant buzz, particularly due to its day-one inclusion in Xbox Game Pass.

A recently released seven-minute gameplay trailer provides a substantial look at the game's mechanics. Players will navigate quarantine zones, villages, and research bunkers, scavenging resources to survive encounters with hostile robots and cultists, as well as perilous environments. Fans of titles like Fallout and STALKER will find familiar elements in Atomfall's survival gameplay loop.

The trailer showcases a range of weaponry, including a cricket bat (melee), revolver, shotgun, and bolt-action rifle – all upgradeable. Crafting plays a key role, allowing players to create healing items and combat tools such as Molotov cocktails and sticky bombs. A metal detector aids in locating hidden supplies and crafting materials. Furthermore, players can unlock skills across four categories: melee, ranged combat, survival, and conditioning, enhancing their capabilities through discovered training manuals.

Atomfall launches March 27th on Xbox, PlayStation, and PC, with immediate access for Xbox Game Pass subscribers. Rebellion plans to release another in-depth video soon, so stay tuned for further updates.
