Pocket Gamer recently discovered Dynabytes' Fantasma at Gamescom Latam, a multiplayer augmented reality (AR) GPS adventure game. The game's recent update adds Japanese, Korean, Malay, and Portuguese language support, with German, Italian, and Spanish coming soon.

Fantasma challenges players to hunt and battle mischievous creatures using portable electromagnetic fields as bait. Combat takes place in AR, requiring players to maneuver their phones to keep the Fantasma in view and tap the screen to attack. Defeated Fantasma are captured in special bottles.

Fantasma creatures appear based on the player's real-world location, encouraging exploration. Sensors can expand the detection radius, and cooperative gameplay is available for a more social experience.

Fantasma is free-to-play (with in-app purchases) and available now on the App Store and Google Play. For fans of AR games, Pocket Gamer also provides a list of the best AR titles for iOS.
