5.0 Update: Genshin Impact Teases New DPS Character
Genshin Impact 5.0 Update Leaks: New Dendro DPS and Natlan's Arrival
Exciting new leaks reveal details about a powerful addition to the Genshin Impact roster with the upcoming 5.0 update, coinciding with the introduction of the highly anticipated Natlan region. HoYoverse has already confirmed Natlan's debut following the conclusion of Fontaine's storyline. This Pyro nation, known for its warrior culture and ruled by the Pyro Archon Murata (the God of War), promises a wealth of new content: landscapes, characters, weapons, and storylines.
A prominent leaker, Uncle K, has shed light on a new 5-star Dendro DPS character. This Claymore-wielding male character will be unique, representing the first 5-star combination of this element and weapon type. His abilities reportedly center around the Bloom and Burning elemental reactions: Bloom (Dendro + Hydro) creates explosive Dendro Cores, while Burning (Dendro + Pyro) inflicts a damage-over-time (DoT) effect.
Concerns Arise Over Burning Reaction
The reliance on the Burning reaction has sparked debate among fans, as it's generally considered less potent than other Dendro reactions. This contrasts with the recent adjustments to Emilie, a confirmed 5-star Dendro support unit for update 4.8. Initially designed around Burning, Emilie's kit has reportedly been buffed for greater versatility across various team compositions.
While the Natlan Pyro Archon's arrival is certain, HoYoverse may unveil more Natlan characters during the Special Program event for update 4.8 (around July 5th).
Columbina, the Third Fatui Harbinger, is rumored to be the main antagonist of the Natlan arc. This powerful Cryo user is speculated to join the playable roster sometime in 2025.
