The 10 Best LEGO Games of All Time
LEGO’s foray into video games began nearly 31 years ago with LEGO Fun to Build on the SEGA Pico. Since then, games featuring the iconic Danish bricks and minifigures have blossomed into a genre unto themselves, largely thanks to Traveller’s Tales’ addictive blend of action-platforming and the countless pop-culture franchises they’ve LEGO-fied. No LEGO games list is complete without the 1997 PC classic, LEGO Island. While its graphics may seem dated, the game remains a fun and nostalgic adventure. Stop the escaped Brickster from destroying LEGO Island, brick by brick! Its diverse characters and surprisingly open world offer a charming and engaging experience. Tracking it down might be tricky, but the journey to LEGO Island is well worth it—just watch out for the Brickster!
9. LEGO The Lord of the Rings
LEGO The Lord of the Rings cleverly uses audio from the films, creating a uniquely silly yet respectful experience. Witness Boromir’s emotional death scene… with bananas! The game boasts a large roster, including book characters like Tom Bombadil, alongside the expected puzzles and action. It’s a LEGO game that truly rules them all… well, almost.
