Set in the 1960s during Taiwan's martial law period, the game invites players into a haunting school environment where supernatural occurrences abound. Utilizing a simple point-and-click interface, players guide characters through the eerie halls to unravel the dark history behind the haunted locale.

The game seamlessly weaves in religious elements from Taiwanese and Chinese culture and mythology, offering players a distinctive visual and gameplay experience. Detention, developed by Red Candle Games, was honored with the IndieCade 2017 award, cementing its place as a standout title in the indie gaming scene.
