Damasi Rules

• Board Setup: Played on an 8×8 board, each player starts with 16 men arranged in two rows, leaving the back row empty.

• Movement and Capture: Men can move forward or sideways one square and capture by jumping over an opponent's piece. Upon reaching the back row, a man is promoted to a king, which can move any number of squares in any direction (forward, backward, or sideways). Captures are mandatory and must be executed in a way that maximizes the number of pieces taken. Captured pieces are removed immediately, allowing for multiple jumps in a single turn.

• Game End: The game concludes when a player has no valid moves left, either due to all pieces being captured or being completely blocked. The opponent then wins the game.

• Unique Rules: Unlike other draughts variants, in Damasi, you can cross the same square multiple times within a single capturing sequence. However, turning 180 degrees between captures is not permitted.
