How To Find and Craft Essence Stones in Fields of Mistria

Essence Stones are a new addition to Fields of Mistria, introduced in the March 2025 update. These stones are crucial for several new features, making them essential for daily farm management. This guide explains how to find, craft, and utilize Essence Stones of varying sizes.

Where to Find Essence Stones in Fields of Mistria

Since the March 2025 update, Essence Stones can be discovered within chests located throughout the mines in Fields of Mistria. While initially found while seeking offering items for the Fire Seal on Floor 60, chests containing Essence Stones can appear on any level and in various biomes. Beware of mimic enemies disguised as chests—interaction will result in damage.

Essence Stones come in four sizes: tiny, small, medium, and large. Smaller stones are more common, but larger ones can be found with diligent searching. If exploration proves fruitless, crafting them at the Stone Refinery is a viable alternative.

How to Craft Essence Stones in Fields of Mistria

The Stone Refinery in Fields of Mistria enables Essence Stone crafting. This structure is introduced through a new questline in the March 2025 update, requiring its construction within the mines. After completing prerequisite quests, Adeline will enlist your help alongside Olric and Errol.

Building the Stone Refinery requires:

• 200 Wood
• 400 Stone
• 5,000 Tesserae

Once built, the refinery allows crafting of various sized Essence Stones using Stone and Essence. The required quantities vary depending on the stone size:

**Tiny Essence Stone**	x5 Stone x5 Essence
**Small Essence Stone**	x10 Stone x25 Essence
**Medium Essence Stone**	x20 Stone x50 Essence
**Large Essence Stone**	x40 Stone x100 Essence

Beyond Essence Stones, the Stone Refinery produces common materials, Refined Stone, and rare items such as Obsidian and Diamond, establishing it as a valuable crafting hub for various projects.

How to Use Essence Stones in Fields of Mistria

The March 2025 update introduced auto-petting and sprinkler mechanics, both powered by Essence Stones. Larger stones provide longer durations.

The auto-petter, linked to the Animal Sprite Statue (placed in Large Barns and Coops), automatically pets animals daily while an Essence Stone is active. This rare statue is found in a concealed cave near Errol's house (using Dragon's Breath). Additional statues can be crafted.

Similarly, the Water Sprite Statue (placed anywhere) automatically waters crops within a 2-tile radius when powered by an Essence Stone. Additional statues can also be crafted. This statue, along with its crafting scroll, is located on a small island east of the beach, beyond the Lighthouse (requires Dragon's Breath to access).

Future updates from NPC Studio will likely expand the uses of Essence Stones in Fields of Mistria.
